The difference between speaker and receiver

Horn (Speaker) and the receiver (Receiver) the basic structure is similar, it is through the voice coil and magnet force, driven diaphragm sound. There are several big differences:

The use of the horn is usually different: there are dozens of centimeters or even tens of meters away from the user's headset, as horn of the size of the set, and the receiver is tightly attached with the ears to use the diaphragm;

The voice coil material of different needs: horn under high power, so the diaphragm thickness is relatively thick, from the beginning of the thinnest 18u, size becomes larger, the greater the power, the diaphragm would be more thick, a small power, but low frequency curve is better, so the 6u-12u diaphragm is generally used, in addition to the diaphragm, the receiver usually affixed to paper or cloth tuning tuning, adjusting the frequency response, to meet various specifications or with resonant cavity mechanism;

Electrical characteristics on the different: the most common horn is 4-8ohm, too high impedance will make the speaker needs a higher voltage to drive, 0.2W to dozens of W are there, the receiver from 16,32,64ohm to 150ohm have to see the customer's line design matching, the general power is only 0.01W to 0.1W.
